AI Replaces Intellectual Jobs: डिजिटल युग में जहां एक तरफ लोगों के लिए सुविधाएं बढ़ी हैं, कई कामकाज आसान हुए हैं. वहीं, दूसरी ओर कुछ सेक्टर पर खतरों की घंटी भी मंडराई है. आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) की बढ़ती रफ्तार ने सिर्फ टेक इंडस्ट्री में ही नहीं जॉब मार्केट में भी एक नई बहस छेड़ दी है. जोहो के संस्थापक और सीईओ श्रीधर वेम्बू द्वारा AI के खतरे को लेकर एक बड़ा बयान दिया गया है. उनके इस बयान ने साफ किया है कि कई सेक्टर में लोगों के लिए एआई खतरा बन रहा है. अब तक कुछ क्षेत्रों के लिए इसे एक बड़ी समस्या के तौर पर देखा जा रहा था.

अब AI को सिर्फ साधारण नौकरियों के लिए ही नहीं, बल्कि सॉफ्टवेयर डेवलपमेंट और कोडिंग जैसे उच्च बौद्धिक कामों को भी तेजी से प्रभावित करने के लिए इशारा दिया जा रहा है. इस साल जोहो कंपनी ने अपने कर्मचारियों के एनुअल अप्रेजल और सैलरी हाइक को रोका है जिसके बाद, वेम्बू का ये बयान आईटी इंडस्ट्री में चर्चा का विषय बन गया है. उन्होंने इस मुद्दे को लेकर सोशल मीडिया एक्स पर पोस्ट किया है. 

AI की वजह से 4 गुना बढ़े सर्वर के दाम 

जोहो के सीईओ श्रीधर वेम्बू ने सोशल मीडिया एक्स पर पोस्ट किया है कि 'सॉफ्टवेयर इंडस्ट्री का बिजनेस आउटलुक काफी अनिश्चित बना हुआ है. AI ने हमारे खर्चों को बहुत बढ़ा दिया है, जिसके मुख्य दो कारण हैं, जिनमें पहला, डेटा सेंटरों के लिए जरूरी सर्वरों की कीमतों में 4 गुना की भारी बढ़ोतरी हुई है और दूसरा कारण ये है कि AI के इस्तेमाल में तेजी से उछाल आया है, जिससे परिचालन लागत काफी बढ़ गई है और हम इसे नियंत्रित करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं. इसके अलावा वैश्विक स्तर पर चुनौतीपूर्ण भू-राजनीतिक माहौल भी एक बड़ा कारण है. इन्हीं वजहों से हमने अपने मार्केटिंग बजट में कटौती की है.' 

सैलरी हाइक न देने पर क्या बोले जोहो के सीईओ?

जोहो के सीईओ ने पोस्ट में आगे कहा कि 'हमने अपने कर्मचारियों को भी स्पष्ट बता दिया है कि इस साल हम उन्हें हमेशा की तरह सैलरी बढ़ाने की स्थिति में नहीं हैं. इस स्थिति को न टाल पाने के लिए मैंने अपने कर्मचारियों से माफी भी मांगी है. हम बड़े पैमाने पर होने वाली छंटनी से बचने के लिए पूरी जी-तोड़ कोशिश करेंगे, लेकिन कुल मिलाकर सॉफ्टवेयर सेक्टर में नौकरियों का भविष्य फिलहाल काफी धुंधला और चिंताजनक नजर आ रहा है.'

उन्होंने आगे कहा कि 'पिछले 18 महीनों से हमारे कर्मचारियों की संख्या में कोई बढ़ोतरी नहीं हुई है. हमारे अधिकांश कर्मचारी इस कठिन परिस्थिति को समझ रहे हैं और मैं इसके लिए उनका दिल से आभारी हूं. हम इस समय खुद को नए सिरे से गढ़ने और बदलने के दौर से गुजर रहे हैं. अगले 3 से 5 साल ये तय करेंगे कि हमारा ये बदलाव कितना सफल रहा. कृपया हमारे लिए प्रार्थना करें.'

The business outlook for software is uncertain and AI has raised costs dramatically with a) massive 4-fold increase in server prices which we need for data centers b) AI usage increasing rapidly, leading to much higher expenses, which we are trying to control. On top of that is the challenging geopolitical backdrop. We have cut down on our marketing budget. We have also told our employees that we cannot have our usual pay increase this year. I have apolgized for not being able to avoid this. We will work hard to avoid mass layoffs but the outlook for software jobs in general is grim. We have not been growing our employee count for 18 months now. Most of our employees understand the situation. I am thankful to them. We are in the middle of reinventing ourselves. The next 3-5 years will decide how our reinvention has worked. Please pray for us

अगर AI सारा काम कर लेगा, तो इंसान क्या करेंगे? 

गांव में रहने के अपने अनुभव को साझा करते हुए जोहो के सीईओ श्रीधर वेम्बू ने कहा कि वो इस से बिल्कुल भी परेशान नहीं है कि बौद्धिक काम छीनने के बाद इंसान क्या करेंगे. उनके मुताबिक इंसानी जीवन में करने के लिए अनगिनत सार्थक काम हैं और उन्होंने उन कामों को चार कैटेगरी में बांटा है जो प्रकृति, पालन-पोषण, संस्कृति और अध्यात्म या शास्त्र हैं. उनके अनुसार किसी काम का मूल्य सिर्फ इस बात से तय नहीं होना चाहिए कि उसमें कितनी बौद्धिक ताकत लगी है. आने वाले समय में संस्कृति, देखभाल और पर्यावरण से जुड़े काम भी लोगों को समृद्ध जीवन दे सकते हैं.

The modern man, particularly the modern western man, worships the intellect. I used to be in this category so I know whereof I speak. Pure mathematics, the highest intellectual activity known to man, is falling to AI. It is a deeply humbling moment. At this point, I would assume that most "intellectual jobs" are at risk. That includes much of software. What will people do? Living in a village (I just came from Lalita Sahasranama pooja for Navaratri), I am not worried about "What will humans do" question. Humans have infinitely many things to do and I categorise those human activities as nature, nurture, culture and scripture: restoring soil and water, raising children and caring for elders, making music, sustaining festivals, sports and entertainment, studying and practising spiritual traditions. Those activities can pay well in the sense of being able to afford the goods and services produced with near zero human labor. The task of the political economy is to ensure this income distributional outcome and I reject UBI as an unimaginative and dystopian vision of the intellect-worshipping modern man. The UBI future implicitly assumes monopolization of the means of production and sovereign states already have the power to disallow monopolies.
