Jyoti, Bhullar stay afloat; 3 Indians miss cut in Japan

Jyoti Randhawa brought home an improved card of three-under 68 to surge 33 places to tied 11th even as three other Indians missed the cut after the halfway stage of the Asia-Pacific Panasonic Open.

Randhawa has a tournament total of two-under 140 at the Joyo Country Club golf course. Gaganjeet Bhullar also bettered his first round card by one stroke, turning a one-under 70 to lie tied 20th with an aggregate of one-under 141.However, compatriots Shiv Kapur, Digvijay Singh and Gaurav Ghei failed to make the cut which came at four-over. Shiv carded a three-over 74 to miss the cut with a total of eight-over 150. Further down were Digvijay Singh (81) and Gaurav Ghei (77) with totals of 155 and 158 respectively.At the top, Japan`s Daisuke Maruyama carded a solid five-under 66 to go one shot clear of unheralded Korean Kim Hyung-sung, who stayed in the title hunt with a 68.
