Baba Hardev Singh's mortal remains arrive in Delhi, last rites to be held on Wednesday

New Delhi: The mortal remains of spiritual leader and Sant Nirankari Mission head Baba Hardev Singh, who died in a road accident in Canada on Friday, arrived in the national capital on Monday.

The body of the spiritual leader was flown to Delhi from Canada`s Montreal. His body will be kept in west Delhi`s Burari Road for the devotees to pay their final respects.

Last rites of Baba Hardev Singh will be performed on Wednesday, a mission release said.

"The Antim Yatra (last journey) will begin on Wednesday from Ground No 8 at 8 am and conclude at Nigam Bodh Ghat. Antim Sanskar (last rites) will take place at the CNG Crematorium at 12 noon," mission official Kirpa Sagar said in a release.

The mission had already urged the followers across the world not to gather in New Delhi to avoid inconvenience.

 

 

62-year-old Hardev Singh was killed in a road accident in Canada on Friday.

As per details available on 'Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj Community' on Facebook, Baba Hardev Singh was travelling from New York to Montreal in a car along with his two sons-in-law Avneet and Sunny when the car crash happened.

 

 

Meanwhile, Montreal Police have launched an investigation into the accident to determine what exactly led to the car crash.
