Volkswagen Virtus, Taigun To Get New Variants Soon, Previewed Before Launch: IN PICS

After taking its own sweet time, the Volkswagen Virtus GT is here with a stick shifter. The car uses a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the deliveries are likely to begin by second half of this year.

With the new GT manual variant, Volkswagen has also announced the addition of a new Lava Blue paint scheme to the Virtus' colour palette.

Volkswagen India has now introduced a new paint scheme for the Virtus other than the Lava Blue, and it is the new Deep Black paint option, which is now added to the list.

The Deep Black paint scheme accentuates the overall appeal of the car. Sadly, not many changes are made on the inside, to compliment the new black paint scheme.

The Volkswagen Taigun GT Sport is designed to make the GT trim more accessible for buyers. Thus, it is safe to assume that Taigun GT Sport will sit below the current GT trims.

Talking of changes, the GT Sport dons a slightly tweaked finish for R17 alloy wheels, along with new graphics on the exterior. Subtle revisions have also been made on the inside to don the Sport badging.

Another addition to the Taigun line-up is the inclusion of the new Deep Black paint scheme like the Virtus. Moreover, it is now based on the GT Plus trim, as the company has a more affordable GT trim.

The black paint scheme is complimented by several other blacked-out accents on both the exterior and interior.

Volkswagen Taigun Trail Edition is revealed as a concept, and the launch timeline is not yet confirmed by the carmaker. However, the styling updates make the Trail Concept look purposeful.

Changes include new ORVM caps, roof-mounted cross bars, Trail badges, black-painted alloy wheels, and new body decals. Also, it isn't based on the top-spec GT trim.

The Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Manual Sport Concept is showcased in a Matte Grey paint scheme. Mechanically, it isn't different from other Taigun variants, because changes are largely on cosmetic front.

Currenlty showcased as a concept, the Sports Edition will be launched at a later stage in the Indian market.
