| THE LONGEST INSECT |
Compiled by Sushmita Dutta & Devika Chhibber
In the islands of Borneo in South-east Asia scientists have found the world’s longest insect - a stick bug. This particular stick bug is 22 inches long with its legs and has a 14 inch long body. This specimen is now at the Britain’s Natural History Museum. Since this discovery was made by a Malaysian scientist, the species has been named Chan’s megastick or Phobaeticus Chani. |
