Go to www.parcel.indianrail.gov.in and register or log in to the portal.
Provide the origin and destination stations in the online form
Choose a train from the list of suggested trains by the system
Complete the booking form (Forwarding Note) with necessary details
The system will calculate approximate freight charges based on the information provided
Submit the system-generated e-Forwarding Note at the godown
Take the printout of the e-Forwarding Note and hand over the parcel at the originating station
The parcel will be weighed, and actual freight charges will be calculated by the system at the booking counter
After depositing the freight charges and collecting the Railway Receipt (RR), you can track the parcel using the Track & Trace facility
You will receive a notification SMS when the parcel reaches its destination. Finally, submit the original RR and collect your parcel from the delivery counter at the destination station
