1. 'Sachin was scared of me'

In his autobiography, Akhtar mentioned that Tendulkar was 'scared' to face his 'scorching pace'. Tendulkar fans got angry on him for such a statement.

2. Ball-tampering convict

Akhtar tampered with cricket ball twice and was justifiably suspended by ICC on both the occasions.

3. Chucker?

Akhtar was considered a 'chucker' of the ball by many critics. 'Chucking' means not delivering the ball by rotating the arm, as per ruled of the game.

4. Short-tempered

Akhtar had disciplinary issues. Once, he had allegedly hit teammate Asif with the bat.

5. Five-year ban by PCB

PCB had imposed a five-year ban on him for disciplinary issues which was later revoked.

6. Took banned drugs

Akhtar was allegedly consuming banned anabolic steroid nandrolone. They were removed from Pakistan squad in 2006 ahead of opening match of Champions Trophy.
