Gangtok, Nov 18: The BJP will contest all 32 assembly and lone Lok Sabha seats in Sikkim in the upcoming assembly and parliamentary polls due early next year, according to the state unit of the party.

The party has decided to contest all assembly and lone parliamentary seats in Sikkim, and is open to an alliance with like minded parties to ensure the defeat of the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) led by Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling, BJP's Sikkim unit chief H R Pradhan today said in a release here.

A five-member election committee has been appointed for the selection of candidates for the assembly and parliamentary polls, Pradhan said.

He said that the saffron party will raise the issues of corruption, unemployment and price rise during the coming polls.

The party will seek reservation for the Limboo-Tamang community in the ST category, he said, adding that his party will also demand reservation of seats for the Nepalese section in the state.
