WATCH: Pedro Piquet's Porsche race car flips nine times in spectacular GT3 crash

Pedro Piquet, son of three-time Formula One world champion Nelson Piquet, escaped an enormous barrel-roll after being hit by another vehicle during the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge in Brazil on Sunday.

New Delhi: Pedro Piquet, son of three-time Formula One world champion Nelson Piquet, escaped an enormous barrel-roll after being hit by another vehicle during the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge in Brazil on Sunday.

The 17-year-old was turning a bend when his car was hit from the side, forcing the car to spin violently. After the accident, he was taken to hospital for observation, but apart from some bruising, he is said to be unharmed.

The younger brother to Formula E driver Nelson Piquet, Jr., started karting as early as eight years and is one of the Brazilian youngsters making waves.
