New Delhi: Pakistan cricket on Monday was hit by a fresh controversy as two veterans - Mohammad Yousuf and Ramiz Raja - got involved in an ugly spat on national television.

The two were part of a live TV debate on the return of tainted pacer Mohammad Amir to the Pakistan side, but ended up trading verbal blows themselves.

 

The distasteful exchange saw both Raja and Yousuf make personal remarks against one another.

Here is the what transpired between the two:

 

Raja: People with a beard should first of all stop lying.

Yousuf: A shameless person like you can only speak such things. You can only talk, because you have done nothing in cricket and you didn't know how to play. You should bring him before me as I want to see how big a player he was. You just have two centuries from 57 Tests. With just two centuries under your belt, don't you feel ashamed while speaking on cricket? You are nothing but an English teacher.

 

Raja: You don't feel ashamed lying while keeping a beard?

Yousuf: I don't know anything. I just know how to play cricket and I talk about it. Do you know how to play cricket?

Raja: Whatever you have played, you have just spoilt Pakistan cricket.

 

Yousuf: You are nothing but an English teacher.

Anchor (interrupts): I just wanted to know your views about the return of Mohammad Amir. Ramiz Bhai, how important would be it be for the team management to take Amir along with them?

 

Raja: See, first of all don't bring such cunning people when I am around.

Yousuf: You are cunning as you filed a case against your own family for property and money. I haven't seen a more shameless person than you in my life.
