Rohit Sharma led his side by example as Mumbai beat Kolkata in a high-scoring game.

Over 19.1 || Score 188/4 (Rohit 84, Pollard 1)

Chawla to bowl the over. Pollard took the single off the first ball as MI beat hosts KKR by six wickets, with five balls to spare.  


Over 19 || Score 187/4 (Rohit 84, Pollard 0)

Russell to bowl the peunultimate over of the match. First ball, in the zone and Rohit hit it straight over bowlers head for a boundary. Single off the next. Buttler Out! Kieron Pollard ​is the new man in. Rohit hit three consective boundaries off the last three to get down the equation to 1 off six balls.

Hasting with the ball. Buttler dropped by the bowler off the last ball, a stright forward chance. But otherwise, it was an excellent over as mere four came in it. MI need 18 runs from 12 balls.

Hogg to bowl. Rohit hit a boundary off the fourth ball towards mid-wicket region. The Chinaman leaked nine runs. MI need 22 runs from 18 balls.

Russell back to bowl hi 3rd over. Buttler hit the West Indian for two massive sixes and a boundary to get 18 from the over. MI need 31 runs from 24 balls.

45-year-old Hogg back to roll his arm. Rohit swept his for a boundary towards square leg. Buttler then smashed a boundary a six to finish off the over. 17 came from it. MI need 49 runs from 30 balls.

Kuldeep with his last over. Single off the first ball as Rohit completed his fifty. Buttler celebrated Rohit's half century by hitting the next ball towards extra covers for a boundary. Nine came from the over.

Hasting back into attack. Excellent over by the Australian in a pressure situation. Four runs from the over.

Kuldeep with is 3rd over. McClenaghan hit his 3rd six of the match off the first ball. But the bowler has the last laugh as he got the better of the batsman in the fifth ball. Jos Buttler came to bat.

Trying to clear the long-off boundary, Pandya gave a catch to Pandey at deep. McClenaghan came to the middle and hit Chawla for two sixes. 14 came from the over.

Kuldeep with his 2nd over. Poor fielding display by KKR. The spinner proved expensive in the over he leaked 15 in it.

Chawla to continue. First ball was dispatched over cow corner for a six by Rohit Sharma. The leggie leaked nine in the over.

Another spinner has been introduced in the form of young Kuldeep Yadav. Superb over to start with. The left-arm spinner conceded five in it.

Leg spinner Piyush Chawla bowled a tight over first up as he conceded mere five runs.

Hogg to continue. Patel run out! It's a suiside by the southpaw. Hardik Pandya has been promoted up the order.

Hastings back to bowl his 2nd over. Expensive cover drive from Rohit''s willow, as the ball crossed the boundary rope in no time. Class was written all over that shot. Poor bowling display as Hastings. Fifth ball was directed towards leg side and Rohit whipped it for a boundary towards fine leg for yet another boundary. Mumbai touched the 50-run mark.

Bowling change! Ageing Brad Hogg into the attack. 2nd ball was too short and Rohit hit it towards square-leg for a boundary. From last delivery, came a another boundary, this time from Patel's willow. 10 from the over.

Russell to continue. Parthiv smashed two consecutive boundaries off his first two balls. MI started off their innings with a bang. Nine runs came from the over.

Hastings set to roll his arm. Both the openers hit a boundary each to get ten runs from the over.

Russell to bowl the first over for KKR. Parthiv Patel and Rohit Sharma top open the batting for MI, who have to chase formidable total of 187 tonight. Third ball was dispatched for a six by Rohit over deep square leg.

Bumrah to bowl the over. From the first five balls came three runs. But in the last ball, new man Suryakumar Yadav hit a boundary to take KKR's score to 187.

KKR lost two important wickets at a crucial juncture of the form of Russell and Gambhir.  Yusuf Pathan and Colin Munro have come to the middle. 17 came from the overs.

Bumrah to bowl the over. Gambhir dropped by the bowler, as he spilled a high catch off the 2nd ball. Last ball was slogged by Russell over mid-wicket for a maximum. 12 from the over.

Bhajji to continue, this would be his last over. Another flat six by Russell, off the first ball, this time towards mid-wicket. Off the fifth came another boundary from Russell's willow. 13 from the over.

Southee to bowl his last over. Both the batsmen will start looking for big hits now. Russell pulled the 3rd ball for a flat six over mid-wicket. Fifth ball was once again treated in the same manner by the West Indian, six over long-on. 16 from the over.

Premier spinner Bhajji to bowl the over. Two runs off the first two as Gambhir-Manish forged a 100-run stand for the 2nd wicket. Pandey Out, as he gave a simple catch back to the bowler. Superb over by Turbanator. Russell is the new man in.

Bumrah is back into the attack. Pandey too slammed a fifty with the help of a single. He took mere 26 balls to reach the mark, laced with three boundaries and equal number of sixes. Ten runs came from the over.

McClenaghan wit his 3rd over. Gambhir took a double of the first ball. And with that KKR crossed the 100-run mark. Gambhir completes his fifty with the help of a single. Nine runs from the over.

Suchith with his 2nd over. Pandey is dealing in sixes at the moment. He hit the left-arm spinner over for another six. Gambhir joined the party too as he danced down the ground to hit the bowler over deep mid-wicket for a six. Big over as 18 came from the over.

Bhajji to continue. Third ball was hit for a huge six over mid-wicket by Pandey. He is looking in good nick. Ten from the over.

Jagadeesha Suchith with his first over. Gambhit dropped by Rohit Sharma at short mid-wicket. He dropped a sitter off the 2nd ball. Manish then swept the bowler towards square leg for a boundary. Expensive over as the spinner conceded 13 in it.

Veteran spinner of MI, Habbhajan Singh to roll his arm now. The offie started off well as he gave mere six in his first over.

Hardik Pandya to bowl his opening over. The medium pacer tried a slower one to Pandey and he launched the bowler for a six over long of. And with that KKR crossed the fifty-run mark. 12 came from the over.

After proving expensive in his first over, McClenaghan bowled a tight over as he conceded mere six in it.  


Over 5 || Score 34/1 (Gambhir 22, Manish 1)​

Southee with his 3rd over. He is bowling on the leg stump line. And he paid the price for it. On the last two deliveries Gambhir collected two boundaries on the on side. 12 from the over.

First bowling change! McClenaghan introduced into the attack. The pacer didn't disappoint his skipper as he bowled a quick bouncer at Uthappa, who spooned a catch to Pollard at covers. Manish Pandey walked into the middle.

Mystery spinner Sunil Narine's return will enable a confident Kolkata Knight Riders to tighten the noose when they take on a shaky Mumbai Indians in an Indian Premier League cricket tournament encounter.

While Knights clinically decimated Delhi Daredevils by 9 wickets having bowled the opposition for a sub-100 score, the Mumbai Indians were at the receiving end with league debutants Rising Pune Supergiants giving them a sound thrashing by 9 wickets.

This will be KKR's last match at the Eden this month as they will hit the road for six successive away matches with West Bengal in the middle of the Assembly polls as Gautam Gambhir's men cannot afford to let go the crucial two points at home.

Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma who will once again need to lead by example up front at the same venue where he had scored an ODI world record 264.
