NBA sensation Stephen Curry using Barcelona's Lionel Messi as inspiration to fight through injury

New Delhi: NBA's Golden State Warriors sensational player Stephen Curry wants to be on the court as soon as possible, even if it means borrowing shin pads used in football.

According to a report in Sporting News, the NBA's reigning most valuable player will wear shin pads, in order to play through a left shin contusion.

Reports suggest that Curry is also approaching his game much like one of football's legendary icon, Lionel Messi.

Curry has been an admirer of Lionel Messi and his creativity as the duo have mutual respect for eachother.

Curry stated that he has to bring out his Lionel Messi mindset when talking baout shin pads. Curry wants to keep trying out various gears still he finds something that works for him before coming back to his normal attire.

Curry has been phenomenal in scoring and is hungry to get back into action. He has missed two games with the injury, which occurred on December 28, 2015 against the Sacramento Kings.

Further reports claim that Curry plans on playing through the pain although his team is unlikely to risk him.

Earlier in November 2015, Curry had stated that both he and Messi have a creative style and that he loves watching the Barcelona forward play because one never knows what he is going to do at any particular moment.
