89th Academy Awards: Bollywood celebrities react to Best Picture award announcement blunder

New Delhi: Not just Hollywood lovers but, followers of the event shocked to witness the blunder which took place during the announcement of the Best Picture at 89th Academy Awards. You will be shocked to know that in a rare and unexpected gaffe, 'La La Land' which dominated the 89th Academy Awards, was announced the winner of the Best Picture category, when it was 'Moonlight'.

A lot of B-Towners, including filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Farhan Akhtar, took to Twitter on Monday to express their feelings about the same. While some were amazed, the others were still unable to digest that it actually happened at the prestigious night.

Presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway who were called to announce the winner, pondered a while before reading the cue card, which ended up being incorrect.

The 'La La Land' makers were almost through their speech before the error was realised, and a representative said: "There's a mistake... 'Moonlight', you guys won Best Picture... This is not a joke, I'm afraid they read the wrong thing. 'Moonlight' Best Picture."

However, things got sorted at last.
