Costa to stay on as Spain Davis Cup captain in 2011

Madrid: Albert Costa will captain Spain’s Davis Cup team again in 2011 after the national tennis federation (RFET) extended the former French Open champion’s contract. Costa led Spain to their fourth triumph in the team competition in 2009. They were eliminated in this year’s quarter-finals by France. “Even though things did not go well this year against France, this team always aspires to win,” Costa said on the RFET’s website.“Next Wednesday we will know who our first opponent next year will be and I am sure that with the commitment of all the players we can aim for the trophy."Bureau Report
