Richa bags gold in 800m frees style

Jaipur: Richa Mishra clocked 9:26.18 seconds to win gold medal in the 800m Free Style event of the 64th Senior National Aquatic Championship at Sawai Man Singh stadium. In the only final of the morning final of the morning session, Richa proved far better than the other competitors. Surabhi Tipre (9:30.37) and Kanchi Desa (9:50.67) won silver and bronze respectively while Srishti Todon finished fourth with a timing of 9:56.76 sec.Anusha Mehta, Sushaka Pratap, T. Shlpa Naidu and Harpreet Kaur finished at 5th to eighth positions respectively. In waterpolo matches SSCB thrashed Manipur 21-2, Maharashtra blanked Bengal 11-0 and Kerala beat Delhi 3-0 in the men`s section.The woman Police team got the better of Bengal 9-1 in their match. PTI
