Wrestlers leave for Youth Olympics in Singapore

A two-member Indian wrestling team has left for Singapore to participate in the inaugural edition of the Youth Olympic Games.

New Delhi: A two-member Indian wrestling team has left for Singapore to participate in the inaugural edition of the Youth Olympic Games.
Male wrestler Satyawart Kadian will participate in the 100 kg Free Style category while female wrestler Pooja Dhanda will present her challenge in the 60 kg category. Sujeet Mann from Punjab is the coach of the team.In addition, the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles [FILA] has also selected Satya Dev Malik as Referee from India for the Games. Indian contingent at the Games, comprising of 48-members, will participate in as many as 13 events and will have young tennis player Yuki Bhambri as its flag bearer.Durga Das Boro, Chairman of the Press and TV Commission of the Indian Olympic Association will accompany the team as the Chef de Mission.
