Goalless draw for India against Casa Pia AC
India`s win-less run on its Portugal tour continued with a goalless draw against Casa Pia AC.

Lisbon: Victory eluded India yet again as
they played out a goalless draw with Casa Pia AC in their
fifth practice match at Casa Pia Ground here.
India, who won the first three matches on the trot, had
lost the fourth match 0-1 to a local third division side --
Sintrense, last week.
Sunil Chhetri`s return boosted the national side but even
the Kansas City Wizards striker failed to break the jinx.India started off with Subrata Pal in the goal, while
Surkumar Singh, Gouramangi Singh, Anwar and Rahim Nabi were
the four first choice defenders.
Anthony Pereira took the charge of right flank, while
Renedy Singh and N P Pradeep in the midfield with Clifford
Miranda on the left flank.
India began the match on the cautious note with midfield
combining well with the strikers but failed to produce any
goal as the first half score line read 0-0.
The best chance of the first half fell to the Indians, as
Casa Pia defender made a goal line save off Pradeep header on
Renedy Singh`s flag kick.
After the breather, N S Manju was brought in for Anthony
Pereira. Rahim Nabi was pushed on right flank, with Manju
playing as the left wing back.
After dictating the terms in the first half, Bob Houghton
boy`s were given a tough time by their opponents but even
their spirited performance was not enough to break the
deadlock as the match ended on neutral terms.
India will next take on Real Massam SC at the Massam
Ground.
