Another twist: Shoaib-Ayesha photo surfaces

Zeecric Bureau New Delhi: The Shoaib Malik-Sania Mirza wedding episode took another dramatic turn on Sunday after a Pakistan news channel released a photograph of Shoaib and Ayesha Siddiqui. The photo shows Shoaib and Ayesha standing together. Ayesha claims to be the wife of former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik, a charge that the talented all-rounder has vehemently denied.The picture could prove to be a huge blow for the Pakistan cricketer as he had earlier on Saturday denied knowing or ever meeting the Hyderabad based Ayesha. Earlier on Saturday, Ayesha Siddiqui’s Pakistani lawyer Dr Farukh Hassan warned that if Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza travel to Pakistan after their marriage, they could be issued warrants in Pakistan. Talking exclusively to Zee News, Dr Hassan said that under Pakistani law, the couple could be brought to book in the present circumstances as Shoaib has not taken divorce from his ‘first wife’ Ayesha Siddiqui.The developments came when the Malik-Siddiqui tussle reached the court, as the latter’s family sent a legal notice to Shoaib, asking him to give a public divorce to their daughter before getting married to Sania Mirza.
