PSPB makes clean sweap of the National TT titles

Guwahati: Petrolium Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) dominated the show by grabbing all the titles of the Senior National Table Tennis tournament. In the men`s singles match played at the Tarun Ram Phookan indoor stadium here, number one A Sharath Kamal downed Saurav Chakravarty 4-1. In the best of seven rounds, Kamal downed his opponent 11-13, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8 and 11-9.In the closely contested final match in the women`s singles, number one Poulomi Ghatak downed K Shamini 4-3. The final score line read 6-11, 11-5, 11-13, 11-7, 11-6, 7-11 and 11-9. Earlier in the men`s doubles final PSPB`s Saurav Chakravarty combined with Anirban Nandy to beat Soumyadeep Roy and Jubin Kumar 11-8, 11-9, 5-11 and 11-2.Running the PSPB`s superb show, in the women`s doubles affair the duo of K Shamini and Mdhurika Patkar got the better of Pooja Saharabudhe and Divya Deshpande 11-8, 5-11, 9-11, 11-7 and 11-6.
