Vignesh, Sheetal top-seeds in All India Open tennis

Each of the men`s and women`s categories of the Rs 7 lakh
event will see some of the top players of the country,
organisers said today.
Men`s competition will have 10 players from India`s
top-25, while there will be 10 from nation`s top-30 in women`s
section of the tournament, being organised by the Juhu Vile
Parle Gymkhana Club.
While the top 20 men and women have made a direct entry
into the main draw, 88 entries from men and 23 from women have
been received for the qualifying rounds, which will commence
from February 13.
The men`s singles winner will get Rs 70,000 -- Rs 35,000
as prize money and special award of Rs 35,000 from organisers,
while the women`s singles winner will pocket Rs 23,000, the
organisers said.
The qualifying matches will be played at the JVPGC Courts
as well as the courts at Practennis, suburban Andheri.
The main draw, beginning from February 15, will be played
at the JVPGC Courts.
