Pleasant surprise for unsuccessful candidate

Kendrapara: Having 'failed' the
examination twice, a student of a local school got a pleasant
surprise recently when he found that he had actually passed
the High School Certificate examination which he had appeared
two years ago.
The parents of Rajesh Kumar Sahu, who was preparing
for the examination in March this year, are contemplating to
file a legal suit against the Board of Secondary Education
(BSE), Orissa, and School and Mass Education department.
The name of Sahu, of Gulnagar High School, did not
feature in the list of successful students in 2008.
The boy appeared at the 10th standard examination in
2009 as well but failed again.
Thoroughly dejected, he had filled up the forms to
appear in the March 2010 board examination all over again when
the school authorities summoned his parents and told them that
the student need not sit in the exam anymore as he had passed
the 2008 examination in third division.

The pleasantly surprised parents received their son's
provisional certificate and mark sheets issued by the Board
recently.
"My son has lost two precious years. The careless
Board officials and school department are playing with the
lives of students. I will sue the authorities concerned",
said Pravakar Sahu, father of the boy.
