Bhat fails to make All-India senior ranking badminton final
Guru Dutt Sai of Andhra Pradesh defeated second-seeded Arvind Bhat 21-16, 21-8 to storm into the men`s final in the NPL All-India senior ranking badminton tournament.

Bangalore: Guru Dutt Sai of Andhra Pradesh defeated second-seeded Arvind Bhat 21-16, 21-8 to storm into the men`s final in the NPL All-India senior ranking badminton tournament.
Sai will meet Ajay Jayaram in the final slated for Saturday at the Karnataka Badminton Association courts. Jayaram stopped giant-killer Aditya Prakash in his tracks 21-12, 16-21, 21-14.
Among women, PC Tulasi produced two upsets enroute to a berth in the final. She put paid to Gayatri Vartak`s aspirations in a hard-fought semifinals 17-21, 21-17, 21-18.Earlier in the day, Tulasi had ousted top-seed Sayali Gokhale 21-14, 17-21, 24-22 in the quarterfinals.
Tulasi will meet Trupthi Murgunde in the title clash. Trupthi defeated Aditi Mutatkar 21-17, 23-21.Results: Men: (Semifinals:)

Doubles (semifinals): Siki Reddy/PC Tualsi bt Arundati Pantawane and PV Sindhu 21-19, 21-10; Anjali Kalite/Jyotshna bt Nitya Sosale/Padnya Gadre 16-21, 21-16, 21-18.
