Ramandeep hattrick in Punjab Sports 5-2 win over ERSA
Ramandeep Singh scored a hattrick in Punjab Sports` 5-2 win over Eastern Railway Sports Association (ERSA) in quarterfinal league of the 114th Beighton Cup hockey tournament at the SAI artificial turf.

Kolkata: Ramandeep Singh scored a hattrick in Punjab Sports` 5-2 win over Eastern Railway Sports Association (ERSA) in quarterfinal league of the 114th Beighton Cup hockey tournament at the SAI artificial turf.
Punjab Sports drew first blood in the 14th minute when Ramandeep sounded the board. But ERSA bounced back strongly to snatch the lead 2-1 with goals from Eterus Ekka (23th) and Mohammad Riyazuddin (31st).
Three minutes later, Satbir Singh scored one to help Punjab Sports bring the match on an even keel with a 2-2 scoreline.Punjab Sports trailed past ERSA when Ramandeep scored his second in the 56th minute, while Rupinder Singh made it 4-2 in the 59th minute. Ramandeep completed his treble in the 68th minute.
In another match, Calcutta Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) held Indian Oil 1-1 with a strike from Sunil Kujur in the 30th minute. Indian Oil drew first blood through a Hamza Mujtaba goal in the 11th minute.In the third match of the day, Karnataka XI and Southern Railway played a 1-1 draw. Karnataka took the lead through K P Dinesh in the 8th minute, while Southern Railway equalized through Karan in the 54th minute.
