Delhi squad for Sub-Junior National Football named

New Delhi: Goalkeeper Shahshwat Misra will lead Delhi in the Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy for 32nd Sub-Junior National Football Championships (Group-E North Zone) starting at Gurgaon tomorrow. Forward Uttam Rai was named vice-captain of the 20-member team announced after a month-long coaching-cum-trial held at the Air Force ground by the DSA selection committee. Delhi has been clubbed with Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh in Group A while Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh form Group B. Delhi will open their campaign against Chandigarh tomorrow at Tau Devi Lal Stadium at Gurgaon. The semifinals will be played on December 5 while the final is slated for December 7.
