Mumbai: The Maharashtra Government has opposed the bail plea of 2008 Malegaon bomb blast accused Sadhavi Pragya Singh Thakur saying it had challenged the lower court's order which dropped charges under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the case.

Justice V M Kanade of the Bombay High Court would decide her bail plea next week.

The petitioner contended that she was entitled to bail as MCOCA charges had been dropped in the case. The accused said that she was in custody since her arrest last year.

The state argued that Sadhavi's bail petition was not maintainable and should be dismissed.

Sadhavi is facing charges of hatching the Malegaon bomb blast conspiracy and allowing her two wheeler to be used in the explosion that killed six persons in September last year.

We should learn from FBI USA, the progress they have made in 26/11 case. This was possible because FBI is an independent agency for investigation unlike India investigation agencies, who are controlled by the Politicians. For every decision and case they look towards the face of the Political Party in Power. Their stregidy is simple, any one caught any where will be linked to all similar case in India by all other states agencies. Poor Sadhavi has been discharged from the super agency MCOCA, which is having the best infratructure and powers. If they failed to come to any conclusion why the Sadhvi is harrased by the other agency. Let the people of India keep the trust in Judiciary, and it is the only hope left to rescue them from opportunist persons in power. -anilbali49 - Dera Bassi a
