Swine flu: Ajmer schools closed as 10 Mayo students test positive

Ajmer: All schools here will remain closed for five days from tomorrow as a precautionary measure as ten students of Mayo Girls School were detected with swine flu.

Ajmer District Magistrate and Collector Rajesh Yadav said today the schools in Ajmer city would remain closed from November 17 to 21 because ten students of Mayo Girls School have been diagonised with positive symptoms of swine flu.

Principal of the school Jameela Singh had informed the district administration on Sunday evening after the girls tested positive in a laboratory test in Jaipur.

The administration sent a medical team to the school, set up an isolation ward and treated the students. The condition of all the ten girls was stated to be better now.

Yadav said five medical teams today began conducting checks of all the 751 girls of the school.

As a precautionary measure, all schools in the city will be closed from Tuesday to Saturday.
