Afghan woman dies of swine flu

Islamabad: An Afghan woman who had tested
positive for swine flu died today in a hospital in the
north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, officials said.
Lateefa Bibi, 40, who belonged to Helmand province of
Afghanistan, had been suffering from high temperature for the
past few days.
After she was admitted to North West Hospital in
Peshawar, her blood samples tested positive for swine flu
during tests conducted by a WHO team.
The hospital authorities have obtained blood samples
of Lateefa’s newborn baby, her attendants and other staff for
tests, officials said.
