Yet another attack against northeast students in capital city

New Delhi: Barely three days after Delhi
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit assured security to the students
from northeast, a boy from Nagaland has been attacked by a
group of unidentified men in the national capital.
According to police, the incident happened in Kotla
area of South Delhi here last night. Two Naga boys were coming
by Auto Rickshaw at around 10 pm when unidentified persons
attacked them.
The assailants started pelting bricks on the two Naga
boys in which one was injured. A complaint has been filed with
Kotla Police station.
The incident comes days after a 19-year-old Naga Girl
was allegedly murdered by an IIT Delhi student in South Delhi.
No action has been taken up till filing of the report
because the identities of accused are not known, police said.

Dikshit on Tuesday assured students from the northeast
that her government will leave no stone unturned to ensure
their well being and provide better security following a spate
of crime against them in the national capital.
The students from notherest claim that they often face
"racial discrimination" in the city.
