'Tech education playing a vital role in country's development'
New Delhi: Expressing her strong resolve to
make Delhi the knowledge capital of the country, Delhi Chief
Minister Sheila Dikshit today said expansion of technical
education is playing a vital role in overall development of
the country.
Speaking at a function at Shaheed Sukhdev college of
Business Studies here, Dikshit said no area or region can
progress till it has enough educational Institutes.
Talking about the financial crisis, the Chief Minister
said in the present scenario, no problem can be seen in
isolation for a certain geographic area.
With increasing globalization, businesses and economies
across, the world has become more and more intertwined, she
said.
In such a globalised situation, she said it was incumbent
upon business students and businessmen to mull over the
strategic issues that the economies and businesses across the
world are facing and evolve solutions for the same.
"It now time to recover and march forward in
consolidating gains of liberalization," she added.
