New Delhi: A day after the LeT plot to attack key installations and schools was revealed by the FBI, more chilly details are emerging on Thursday about the terror plan directed at India.
As per a report obtained by Zeenews, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) is planning more 26/11 like attacks in India.
The plot was, as per the FBI, part of their case Tahawwur Hussain Rana and David Coleman Headley, the two LeT operatives arrested in the US.
FBI inputs suggest that popular tourist spots, international boarding schools and several key installations in India are the prime targets of LeT this time.
The terror outfit also has major plans to target the American and the Israeli citizens currently visiting and residing in India - to spoil India’s reputation at the international level.
Another shocking disclosure: Two unidentified militants associated with the LeT’s Bangladesh module have successfully sneaked into the India through eastern borders.
The FBI has warned Indian intelligence agencies that they have strong evidence about one of two militants being in Maharashtra.
The other is said to targeting a major tourist spot, but keeping a low profile at present in order to avoid detection by the Indian spy agencies.
The two militants are said to be acting on the basis of specific instructions from LeT commanders Ejaaj Kashmiri and Abu Sayed to carry out their nefarious designs.
Incidentally, the two men who are in FBI custody - Pakistan-born Rana and US national Headley - have also revealed to FBI during interrogation that it were Ejaaj Kashmiri and Abu Sayed, who had assigned them the task of executing Lashkar’s agenda in India.
Kashmiri, closely associated with the killers of American journalist Daniel Pearl, lives in the Pak Occupied Kashmir. He currently holds the number two position in the Lashkar-e-Toiba followed by Abu Sayeed.
Kashmiri, who is also known as the next Osama-bin-Laden in LeT circles, is also a known expert in the guerrilla warfare.
