New Delhi: Security of the 2010 Commonwealth Games received a major jolt when some documents concerning the event were stolen on Thursday.

Documents and data regarding the security of the forthcoming CWG were kept in a car, which was placed in highly protected parking area of Commonwealth Games office at Jai Singh Road.

The CWG office is supposed to be a high-security zone with CCTV cameras installed all over the area, and theft from the office premises itself raises a big question mark on the security arrangements even before the crucial mega-event.

According to a CWG official, the documents consisted information regarding the security plan of the games and also some data related to the ongoing construction of CWG sites.

An FIR has been lodged with the Delhi Police as of now.

The Police claim that there is no terror threat and it is just a random case of theft.

No arrest has been made in this regard. However, police has started its investigation in view of the sensitive nature of case.
