NCW for more time to bring out molestation probe report

New Delhi: The National Commission for Women
(NCW) has sought more time to bring out the report on alleged
molestation of Air India airhostess Komal Singh, saying that
some of the passengers on the flight, who are witnesses, are
yet to depose.
NCW Member Wansuk Syiem, who is a member of the committee
probing the allegations, said, "some of the passengers who are
witness to the scuffle that led to allegations of molestation
are yet to depose before the commission".
Thus the committee has sought more time to submit its
report, she added.
NCW chairperson Girija Vyas said that she was yet to
receive the report.
An Air India inquiry committee had issued chargesheet to
Singh, who had levelled molestation charges on two pilots of
the airlines, for "violating the conduct rule".
AI had constituted the committee to investigate a mid-air
scuffle between co-pilot Aditya Chopra and flight purser Amit
Khanna on a Sharjah-Lucknow-Delhi flight (IC 884) on October
3. Singh had flied an FIR against the pilots alleging that she
was molested by them in the cockpit.

Flight purser Khanna, who had got into the scuffle with
Commander Ranbir Arora and his co-pilot Chopra, has also been
chargesheeted for the same reasons by the committee.
