Patna: LJP president Ramvilas Paswan on Tuesday said his party would have an alliance with the RJD, CPI and CPI(M) in Jharkhand assembly elections and contest for 10 of the total 81 seats in the state.

LJP would put up its candidates from Rajmahal, Ranchi, Sindri, Dhanbad, Borio, Barhi, Mandu, Raj Dhanbar, Chatarpur and Chandankyari assembly constituencies, Paswan told reporters here.

Paswan said he made the announcement after consultations with RJD chief Lalu Prasad and leaders of the Left parties.

Paswan also announced names of candidates for five seats, including Rajmahal (Dhruv Bhagat), Srikrishna Mohan Singh (Ranchi), Shailendra Narain trivedi (Sindri), and Bailal Khan (Dhanbad).

He said he had no knowledge at this stage about the number of seats his alliance partners would fight for the five phase elections starting from November 25.
