Barack Obama lost weight, claims a US website

Washington: Rigorous workouts seem to be have worked on the world's most powerful man - America's first black President Barack Obama has "lost weight", according to a
US website. The 'Drudge Report' website has published photographs of Obama, sporting a large jacket, emerging from a gym at Fort McNair military base in the US capital, which actually showed him looking slimmer than usual.
The portal captioned the photo "Barack 'N Bones" and said "rigorous workouts and high-stress basketball games" were responsible for the President's apparent weight loss.
The website quoted an unnamed Washington insider as saying that the US President was not chain-smoking -- his one vice -- but does occasionally skip meals because he's "working non-stop for the country".
Obama has been teased by political opponents in the past about his physique but a week ago -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger once joked that he had "scrawny arms" and that he would make the President "do some squats".
But Obama recently lashed back at critics who fear he lacks the steel to be a successful President, saying "I'm skinny... but I'm tough."

"Just 'cause I'm skinny doesn't mean I'm not tough. I don't rattle. I'm not going to shrink back, because now is the time for us to continue to push and follow through
on those things that we know have to be done but haven't been done for decades," he had said in Miami.
However, there was no official word on the website's claim.
