Threat of 26/11-like attack, India on alert

New Delhi: There is an imminent threat attack from Pakistan on India’s coastal cities and a high level alert has been issued for the same, intelligence sources have revealed.
The intelligence input suggests that there is threat of an attack on Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore a la the attacks last year on Mumbai in November.
The attack may be on a large scale but the specific details of time and place are not certain. Local police and coast guard have been put on high alert in these cities.
The revelation comes two days after Union Home Minister P Chidambaram warned that if Pakistan is responsible for any more terror attacks against India, the government and the Army will retaliate.
