Two-day airshow in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Oct 29: An acrobatic airshow displaying
copter and planes of the Indian Airforce will be held on
November 7-8, official sources said on Thursday.
The two-day aerospace event, also consisting of
spectacular skill exhibit by airforce jawans, will be held on
the occasion of Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav-2009, marking the ninth
year of the state formation, they said.
Airforce Marshall P V Nayak will be sending a
aerobatic team 'Surya Kiran' along with 11 planes to Raipur of
the show on the request of Chief Minister Raman Singh, sources
said.
Singh with a view to encourage youngsters and develop
a leaning in them towards aviation and airforce, had send a
proposal for the event to Nayak which was readily accepted.
The team will reach here on November 5 and start their
preparations for the airshow.
