Sathiyan, Soumyajit in 28-member Indian squad

Youngsters G Sathiyan, Soumyajit Ghosh and Ankita Das figured among 28 Indians who will vie for the top honours during the Indian Junior and Cadet Open-ITTF Junior Circuit table tennis championship.

Indore: Youngsters G Sathiyan, Soumyajit Ghosh and Ankita Das figured among 28 Indians who will vie for the top honours under four sections during the USD 15,000 Indian Junior and Cadet Open-ITTF Junior Circuit table tennis championship commencing here on Tuesday.
There will be four Indian teams in each of Junior Boys, Junior Girls and Cadet Boys category, while Cadet Girls will see three teams from the host country, a Madhya Pradesh Table Tennis Association (MPTTA) release said on Monday. Among others, Raj Mondal and Sourav Saha will be playing in Junior Boys section, while Junior Girls section will see the likes of Mallika Bhandarkar and Pooja Sahashrabudhe.The four-day tournament will be participated by 58 paddlers from seven countries. The teams: Junior Boys: Team A: G Sathiyan, Soumyajeet Ghosh; Team B: Raj Mondal, Rajul Desai; Team C: Nitin Philips, R Venkata; Team D: Sourav Saha, Mohit Verma.Junior Girls: Team A: Pooja Sahashrabudhe, Ankita Das; Team B: Sania Sehgal, Mallika Bhandarkar; Team C: Shreya Ghosh, C Kawle; Team D: Suman Krishnan, Medha Mewa, Nikhat Bano. Cadet Boys: Team A: Rajib Sarkar, Sandeepan Dey; Team B: Abhishek Yadav, Vivek Bhargava; Team C: Utkarsh Gupta, Dhananjay Faranbis; Team D: Sourav Saha, Mohit Verma.
