Double crown for P Solomon in body building championship

Thane: Forth group contender P Solomon of Chhattisgarh clinched the Pachim Bharat Shri and Bharat Shri titles in the 56th National Amateur Body Building Championship at Late Meenatai Thakre Hall here. In the Championship, held under the auspices of Bhivandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation, Ankush Tervankar of Maharashtra was adjudged the Bharat Kesari (above 40) for the third time in a row. Jagtan Singh (Punjab), J Vergis and SM Shivmurthi (Karnataka) were adjudged Bharat Uday, Bharat Kishor (U-21) and Bharat Kumar (U-25), respectively. 250 competitors from 13 states took part in the event. Mayor of Bhivandi Javed Dalvi handed the awards to the winners. Ramesh Chavan of Maharashtra was honoured with the Life Time Achievement Award.
