Climax leaving for Dubai on Saturday
Updated on Friday, July 03, 2009, 18:17 IST
New Delhi, July 03: Midfielder Climax Lawrence has recovered from his illness and will join his colleagues in the Indian national football team in Dubai on Saturday.

Climax could not accompany the Indian squad, who left for Dubai in June 26 for six weeks of training in preparation for the Nehru Cup, as he developed fever hours before the team’s departure.

“I have recovered from fever as well as cold and cough so I am leaving for Dubai tomorrow,” Climax told reporters from Goa.

Climax will fly to Dubai via Delhi tomorrow evening and he said he is looking forward to join his team-mates who have been training at Emirates Sevens ground for the past week.

“They have been training hard as well as having a great time unwinding themselves with desert safari. I am etching to be there,” he said.

Climax will be in Dubai for just two days as the team will depart on July 7 morning for Barcelona where they will have a month-long training using FC Barcelona facilities.
