Huawei opens first evolution lab in Asia Pacific

Hyderabad, June 29: Huawei Technologies Co, a global
leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network
solutions, has launched a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) lab in
Otemachi, Tokyo.
The lab, Huawei's first in Asia Pacific, will enable
its research and development team in Japan to work with local
operators to conduct tests on LTE systems before delivery, a
company release said here today.
In addition, the unit will serve as an incubator for LTE
technologies and as a training facility for the implementation
and commercialisation of the next-generation wireless
technology, it said.
The lab offers a full suite of the latest testing
facilities, the company said.
Huawei Japan Representative and Managing Director Yan
Lida, said, "by providing the best environment for innovation
and training, we hope that we can contribute to our Japanese
customers R&D efforts in this exciting field, and ultimately,
to their continued business success."
