Mumbai, June 29: The DNA test report of Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, who has been arrested on charge of raping his domestic help at his residence, has confirmed that he sexually assaulted the victim. The news comes as a shock for those, including his wife Anupam Ahuja, who showed unflinching loyalty to the actor and advocated that he was not guilty.

"The DNA report has confirmed rape of the victim," said Additional Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta. "The report has corroborated the allegations in the FIR that the actor had raped his domestic help,"

The actor was on Thursday remanded to judicial custody till July 2.

The DNA report clearly states that Shiney Ahuja raped the maid at his apartment. Earlier, medical reports of actor Shiney Ahuja had suggested that he was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of incident. The reports further stated that the actor had an abrasion on his right hand with no other injury on his body.

The actor had been booked for sexual assault and wrongful detention of his housemaid. Police said the medical report of the maid confirms sexual violation as well as coercion.

He has filed a bail petition in a sessions court, sources said today. The petition would come up for hearing in due course, the sources said.

Earlier, during interrogation in police custody, the actor allegedly broke down after the medical reports confirmed that the maid has been raped. “The maid resisted but I forced her into it. I told her that she should stay mum. I was confident that she would not tell anyone of the incident and I was ready to give her whatever she wanted to make sure that she would keep quite. I have made a grave mistake," Shiney had confessed.

The DNA reports second the actor’s confession. However, Shiney’s wife Anupam and industry friends had shown unflinching faith in Shiney stating that he was being framed. “It is hard to believe the reports that come up with new version everyday. It’s a 100 percent frame up. I do not know the reason or who did it but I know that he is innocent." I have been with him for the past 15 years, he is a gentleman. He doesn’t smoke or drink or goes to parties. He is not capable of doing such a crime. He is my man. I am proud of being Mrs Shiney Ahuja,” Anupam had said.

But now that the DNA report is out, everything seems to have come out in the open. The reports spell doom for the actor and an end to his Bollywood career.
