Mumbai, June 17: Rubbishing reports that Shiney Ahuja has confessed to raping his 18-year-old domestic help, Anupam Ahuja, wife of the accused actor, has said that she doesn’t believe Shiney has confessed to the crime. Although the evidences and reports say otherwise, Anupam firmly believes that her husband is an innocent man. Reacting to the media queries on the reports of Shiney’s confessional statement, Anupam said, “It is hard to believe the reports that come up with new version everyday.”
“It’s a 100 percent frame up. I do not know the reason or who did it but I know that he is innocent. I have been with him for the past 15 years, he is a gentleman. He doesn’t smoke or drink or goes to parties. He is not capable of doing such a crime. He is my man. I am proud of being Mrs Shiney Ahuja,” the defiant wife said.
“I don’t need to meet Shiney to know what he said to the police. My husband has not confessed to rape,” Anupam said.
Speaking to
Spicezee.com, the aggrieved wife expressed her faith in judiciary and said that the truth will come out very soon. “Shiney is innocent. I have complete faith in judiciary and truth will come out soon,” she said.
When asked whether she had doubted the intentions of her maid, Anupam refused to comment on it. She added that there is no question of meeting the maid under the present circumstances.
She also said that the film fraternity is supporting them.
Earlier, there had been reports of Shiney Ahuja confessing to committing the horrendous act of raping his 18-year-old domestic help on Sunday afternoon at his Mumbai residence.
The actor allegedly broke down after the medical reports confirmed that the maid has been raped. “The maid resisted but I forced her into it. I told her that she should stay mum. I was confident that she would not tell anyone of the incident and I was ready to give her whatever she wanted to make sure that she would keep quite. I have made a grave mistake," Shiney reportedly confessed during interrogation.
