Zeecric BureauNew Delhi, June 15: A day after India lost to England in their must win clash resulting in their shocking ouster from the T20 World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came out in support of skipper Dhoni.
Talking to reporters, BCCI’s Media and Finance Committee Chairman Rajiv Shukla said that though it is a big loss yet all is not lost and that the upcoming tour of the West Indies should now be the priority.
“We must concentrate on the upcoming West Indies series,” said Shukla.
He also said that Sehwag’s absence was a major reason for India’s early exit from the tournament.
“Sehwag not playing was a big loss,” he said.
Shukla also said that Dhoni is a great captain and that the team possessed the ability of bouncing back.
