New Delhi, Jan 04: The BJP on Sunday demanded a CBI probe
into the allegations of irregularities in the draw of lots for
allotment of over 5,000 flats by DDA.
Senior BJP leader and leader of BJP legislative party in
Delhi Assembly Vijay Kumar Malhotra said the government should
immediately order a CBI probe into the serious allegations
that the draw of lots was rigged.
"The allegations are very serious and the Government
should order a CBI probe into the matter," Malhotra told
reporters here.
There were allegations that the list of lucky
beneficiaries of the DDA's recent draw of lots for flats
included some fictitious names of individuals.
Police are investigating into a complaint regarding
irregularities in the recent allotment of over 5,010 flats by
the Delhi Development Authority.
Around 5.1 lakh people had applied for the DDA flats.
