New Delhi, Dec 22: Adopting a tough stand against Pakistan, Minster for External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee on Monday said that India has kept all options open to bring the perpetrators of Mumbai attacks to justice.

Mukherjee said that India will “pursue all options because of the implications are on our people.”

Reacting to Pakistan’s flip flop over India’s demands to act against terrorists operating from its soil, Mukherjee said, “We expect Pakistan to fulfil its promises and commitments.” He further added, “As a responsible member of the community of nations, Pakistan could not shirk from its responsibility.”

In reply to a question on a possible military confrontation, the minister, briefing the media at the inaugural session of the two-day meet of New Delhi's envoys, Pranab said that such strategies are not disclosed through the media.

The two-day meet, which began today in New Delhi, is as seen India’s diplomatic hard push to exert international pressure on Pakistan to act against terrorists.

The conference, with foreign policy issues on agenda, comes in the wake of last month’s Mumbai terror attacks. The meeting was planned much before the Mumbai strikes took place, but got delayed due to New Delhi’s drive to win international support for the Indo-US civil nuclear deal earlier this year.

Over 120 Ambassadors and High Commissioners are taking part in the conference. Such kind of gathering is taking place for the first time since the UPA came to power in 2004.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is also expected to address the meet on the concluding day.

Dr Singh as also Mukherjee is expected to tell the envoys about how they should present India in the present global scenario when terrorism and financial crisis are posing greatest challenges to the world.

They are also likely to tell the envoys to highlight how India has been facing terrorism emanating from Pakistan despite New Delhi's keen desire to improve relations with the western neighbour in all areas, sources said.

The Prime Minister and the External Affairs Minister are further expected to outline the steps that India has taken to improve ties with Pakistan and how the neighbour has failed to reciprocate the gestures in terms of ending terrorism.

The intent is that the envoys should highlight these aspects in the countries where they are posted as part of efforts to build pressure on Pakistan to end terrorism.

For God`s sake live and let live. dont wake the lions in us, we are not afghanistan, and you are not usa(even look at usa in that equation), a nuclear pakistan can do much much more then your wildest dreams. its time perceptions change and cooperation begin. lets root the terrorists out together. its good we can find a common ground againt them, we are sick of them as well.my city is bombed by sick fanatic suicide bombers every week, its like shaadi pe patakhay, only that the patakhay are killing dozens each time!. and if you wana fight, try us, i swear we wont disappoint you, trust me and my nation on this one. -Peshawari - Pakistan a
Wow, and indians are still talking. If Indians were this brave, they would have done something so far. God knows who came in, attacked the key places and killed so many people and this nation full of sleeping and sensless people, did nothing but other than blaming their neighbour. A man with dignity would have done something right away or committed suicide. But these Indians known nothing but to blame Pakistan. I was born n raised in Middle East and even over there, they just show their hatred for Pakistanis. They do not understand that Pakistan is a separate country for muslims and thats it, there is no difference among both of them other than religion but even a muslim Indian will hate muslim Pakistani and just pass that hatred along. Anyways, bring it on if you got balls, Pakistan always appreciated friendship and never backed out from war. Bring it on with whatever you have. you guys couldnt do anything to Pakistan in last 60 years, what can you do now. All you guys going to do is cry and whine like a women and thats it. bunch a loosers. go suck up to USA and UN and be their Bich. -Proud Pakistani Pathan - USA a

We should admit the gross failure of the intelligence machinery to prevent the militants` attacks in Mumbai. When people suffer on account of price-rise etc. antaganosing the neighbour Pakistan and gathering nations to our side through conferences amount to UPA`s election stunt, posing itself as a hero. -p. ramu. - Kanchipuram. a

Govt should take immediate action 1. Dont allowe Pak registered airlines and aircraft to use India`s Airspace. Stop all the Bus and train service to Pak within 5 days so that people of either country can return to their country withing 5 or 7 days. Ask UN to impose sanctions like UN imposed sactions on Lybya when Libyans involved in the PANAM flight explosion. This is the first blow to PAK if we go ahead with it. Regards Marcel -Marcel - Muscat a
Mr. Pranab, Its not the time for the accusation its the time to be together to fight the terrorism. Pakistan is facing much a tough time than india just saw. Pakistan could have been blammed india for this and would have made an issue out of so many similar incidents happening on daily basis in Pakistan. You should never forget that you don`t have any right to put on stake the lives of the nations based on your ego. Don`t impose anything which would result in burnt houses your`s and mine. Our nations want food not war. -Riz Khan - Dubai a
