Mumbai, Dec, 03: Aamir Khan has opened up in his blog on the Mumbai attacks. He has brought forth relevant issues and eloquently raised some thought provoking questions.

“Do we take responsibility of our own actions that we expect from others? If you are corrupt how can you expect, the politicians to be pure and good? The thing that is to be kept in mind in these times is that one should not lose hope. We should remember to keep faith, trust and love with each other intact. Love peace and faith are the watchwords in these times,” Aamir stressed.

However, he too was not devoid of feelings against terrorists after the ghastly attacks and said, “As I had expected, various politicians have tried to use this traumatic and tragic attack to their advantage...quite clearly both the major political parties have failed to tackle terrorism...while what happened in Mumbai recently clearly exposes the incompetence of the Congress, the hijacking of the Indian Airlines flight 814 during the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule shows them in even worse light.”

"They actually negotiated with the terrorists and released three dreaded terrorists from Indian jails. All the five hijackers and the three terrorists released from India by the then BJP government were allowed to escape to attack us another day," he further posted on his blog www.aamirkhan.com/blog this Tuesday.

He also slammed the political and regional parties across the country for being "responsible in one way or the other, for fuelling terrorism".

"No matter what, the next time round, and let's not fool ourselves, we must be alert and prepared for more attacks, and we must not negotiate. All potential terrorists must get a very clear message that India does not negotiate with terrorists," he stressed.

"The other important thing we need to remind ourselves in this time of anger and hurt is to stay calm and take sensible steps, and not give in to thoughtless knee jerk reactions," he added.
