Chandrayaan scientist receives warm welcome

Coimbatore, Nov 17: Mylswamy Annadurai, Project Director, Chandrayaan-I, was on Monday felicitated by the public at different places of his native Coimbatore district for the successful launch of the country's moon mission.

At Kothavadi village near Kinathukadavu in the district, villagers gathered in large numbers at the panchayat union school grounds and lauded Annadurai's contribution in the launch of Chandrayaan-I.

Kothavadi is the native village of the space scientist. He presented a computer to the school, where he got his elementary education.

Annadurai was then felicitated by the management of NGM College, Pollachi, where he did his pre-university course.

Annaduai, an alumnus of the Government College of Technology in the city, was felicitated at the college auditorium this evening.
