Updated on Sunday, November 09, 2008, 00:00 IST
Islamabad, Nov 09: President Asif Ali Zardari has told US President-elect Barack Obama that Pakistan is keen to improve ties with the United States.

In a telephone conversation that took place on Saturday, Obama said that he also looked forward to improving relations between the two countries, adding he had a deep admiration for Pakistanis.

According to the Daily Times, Obama, 47, and Zardari discussed the present state of US-Pakistan relations, ties that have experienced some strain following a series of American missile strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas.
