Panaji, June 10: As the days of soaking in the
sun lazing on the beach are over, the hotel giants with their
properties in Goa are selling the rooms at much cheaper rate
luring the customers to have a barefoot walk on the wet beach
or romancing in rain.
Across the board, the luxury hotels have slashed their
tariff by almost 40 percent compared to the peak season
besides floating various tempting packages for the families to
increase their occupancy level.

While speaking to a news agency Babita Kanwar, director (marketing), Goa Marriott resort said, “ our prices are almost 30-40 percent down compared to peak season rates to attract domestic tourists. We are getting good response even during monsoons due to our unique
location."

Similar is the case with the other renowned five star hotels in
the state like 'cidade de goa' and 'the leela' that is
offering tariffs, down almost by 30 to 40 percent to woo the
domestic crème.

"Goa in the rains is a serene and peaceful refuge for
those seeking respite from the concrete jungles of the urban
world," says Mithu Basu, general manager (public relations and
corporate communications), the leela palaces, hotels and
resorts.
