London, Aug 29: Unpublished photographs of Princess Diana's early years before her marriage with Prince Charles are likely to be included in a book penned by Prince William as a tribute to his late mother, a leading daily reported here today.
"Following the success of this summer's concert for Diana, Prince William is hoping to bring out the charity book which is full of unseen pictures taken in 1978 when she was working as a nanny for family friends," the 'Daily Mail' quoted sources close to the prince as saying.
The release date of the book, however, has not yet been finalised. This is the tenth death anniversary year of Princess Diana who was killed in a Paris Car crash, alongside her boyfriend Dodi al Fayad, in 1997.
One of the shots shows 17-year-old Diana pegging out washing on the line when she was working as a nanny for 16 pounds a week for family friends Jeremy Whitaker and his wife
Philippa at their country home at Hampshire. The photograph, revealing the Princess of Wales's domestic skills, was taken by a friend of the family, Marion Ter Reehorst.
"Diana was very sweet and giggly but quite shy and unconfident. I made her laugh when i told her about a very rich man I had been dating that I didn't want to marry. In return, she told me about her sister, Sarah. She seemed very fond of her but also quite jealous and told me she had dated Prince Charles," the daily quoted Reehorst as saying.
Diana touchingly confided in the photographer about the depth of hurt she felt when her mother, Frances, left her father, Earl Spencer, and moved to Australia with her new
husband, in the early 1970s.
"You could hear in her voice how vulnerable she was. When she spoke to me about the future she said she was hoping to persuade her father to let her move here to do a cookery course. The news of her marriage was unexpected," she said.
